El Colegio de Ingenieros Civiles de México, es una Asociación Civil, constituida en términos de Ley, que se rige por su estatuto y la Ley Reglamentaria del Artículo Quinto Constitucional, que regula el Ejercicio de las Profesiones. Tiene por objeto, asegurar que el ejercicio profesional de la ingeniería civil en México se realice en el más alto plano legal, ético, moral.
Los Colegios de Profesionistas son asociaciones civiles, no lucrativas, integrados por profesionistas de una misma rama, agrupados para trabajar en beneficio de su profesión, promover acciones en beneficio de la población y vigilar el ejercicio profesional, porque de su actuar depende gran parte del bienestar de la sociedad, que les confía su patrimonio, su salud, su libertad e incluso, su vida.
Salvaguardar los intereses de la sociedad, en materia del ejercicio de la Ingeniería Civil, con base en la calidad y la integridad de los servicios de sus profesionales; y velar por los intereses legítimos de los miembros de la Institución.
Ser un colegio reconocido, en el ámbito internacional, como la asociación que contribuye a la formulación de políticas y a la instrumentación de estrategias, destinadas al fortalecimiento y a la participación sustantiva de la Ingeniería Civil en México; que influye, convincentemente tanto en el ambito de su región, como en la planeación y desarrollo sostenible de la infraestructura. Asi como, en el debate de los temas propios de la Ingeniería Civil que promueve, eficazmente, el mejoramiento de sus colegiados.

Publicación técnica del CICM, la cual es generada cada mes con la información sobre obras e investigaciones más recientes sobre la ingeniería civil.
Es una publicación mensual que se edita y distribuye desde 1949, entre sus ventajas destacan la inmediatez y versatilidad. A través de este boletín, se informa sobre las actividades del Presidente, conferencias, eventos o reuniones técnicas, cursos de capacitación que se organizan en el CICM.
El 60 por ciento de nuestros lectores ocupa puestos directivos en los sectores público y privado; 20 por ciento trabaja de manera independiente.
